Part-time Director of
Development and Communications
The Healthcare Consortium is seeking a Director of Development and Communications who will be directly responsible for all activities related to fundraising and brand recognition for the agency.
The Director of Development and Communications will develop and execute strategies to secure philanthropic giving for the Healthcare Consortium through a multi-pronged approach to fundraising including, but not limited to, email, direct mail and social media campaigns, donor development, sponsorships and special events.
They will also develop and implement a communications plan that will enhance the Consortium’s visibility, grow public awareness of and recognition for its brand, and generate both referrals and support.
This is a new position for the agency that will report directly to the Executive Director.
Applicants for this position must have previous development and communications experience and demonstrated success in a similar role. The ideal candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to think creatively, take initiative, and build effective relationships.
The candidate must also be able to work at alternate worksites, including his/her/their home, and on some evenings and weekends (with ample advance notice). The job entails local travel to a variety of settings using one’s own personal vehicle; mileage expenses will be reimbursed at the federal rate ($.655 in 2023).
The annualized wages will be up to $50,000 for a part-time, 25 hours/week, non-exempt position. The Consortium also offers a rich benefit package with ample paid time off, access to health, dental and vision insurance, and a retirement plan.
