The Canton Central School District announces the following vacancies:

Senior Account Clerk

This is a 12-month position. In addition to having the same holidays and school vacations as students during the school year, this position also has 12 vacation days each year and reduced summer hours. A full benefit package of health insurance, health savings account and New York State pension are available.  

The starting salary range for this position is $32,279-$35,279.

This is a provisional appointment. The successful applicant will need to take a civil service examination and score within the top three interested candidates in order to be permanently appointed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS; Either:
(A)  Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an  Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration; OR
(B) Completion of sixty (60) credit hours at a New York State regionally accredited college or university which must have included at least twelve (12) credit hours in  accounting or bookkeeping; OR
C) Graduation from high school, possession of a high school equivalency diploma or possession of an Individual Education Plan diploma and two (2) years of experience maintaining financial accounts and records.
