FACILITY Operations Assistant 1 (Grounds)

SUNY Canton is seeking applicants for the position of Facility Operations Assistant 1 (Grounds). Candidate must have one year of experience in the operation of tractors, mowers, and other equipment. Candidates must possess a valid NYS Commercial Driver’s License Class B minimum. Incumbents of positions in this class also perform repair and maintenance of roadways, grounds, and landscape on a variety of different work shifts. The successful candidate will work the Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3:00pm shift during the summer.

Facility Operations Assistant 1 (Grounds) performs routine equipment maintenance and other maintenance tasks and laboring duties, as necessary. Prior to final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
