EDUCATIONAL PLANNER – EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM (EOP)
Jefferson Community College, Watertown, New York, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is conducting a search for a full-time, grant-funded Educational Planner for the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). This position is responsible for the educational support and retention services including academic advising, financial, career, and transfer advising to at-risk students. The successful candidate will assist in planning and participating in college recruitment events such as high school visits, SUNY Fairs, orientation, and open houses for the program. The EOP Educational Planner contributes to the development and execution of the EOP Summer Program, prepares programming, keeps accurate records, and aids in the assessment of EOP services. This position requires some evening and weekend obligations. Professional staff are expected to advance the College’s focus on student success and completion and will work closely with the College’s leadership to advance the mission of the Strategic Plan 2020-2025.
Required: Bachelor’s degree, three (3) years of appropriate professional experience, and a valid driver’s license.
Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.
Preferred: Experience in a college support position. Demonstrated excellence in communication skills, technology skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
Salary: $47,589
