The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton invites qualified applicants for a full-time, Tenure-Track position in the Applied Psychology Department beginning September 1, 2025.
Essential Responsibilities
- A 4/4 teaching load, which will include face-to-face courses, plus the use of online, hybrid, and converged modalities.
- Teaching assignments may include courses in Introductory Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Counseling Skills, Crisis Intervention, Group Therapy, and additional courses related to introducing students to counseling skills and the delivery of social/human services.
- Advising and mentoring students.
- Collaborative participation in course, curriculum, program development, and assessment.
- Participation in campus, university, and community service activities.
- Engagement in professional development and relevant scholarly activity.
Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior college teaching experience
- Prior experience in field (e.g., counseling)
- Licensure as appropriate
